The TF Rack is our audio console. Its job is to send all audio from all our computers to FOH. Most of its features are locked down since we do not need to change any settings. FOH can change settings remotely if they need to.
The controls that we do have is only to control our own speaker out the back. There are 4 control knobs.
Knob 1 - (Program) This is the full mix that FOH are sending through the main speakers. We need this to hear what is being said on the MC mics, to hear the band or videos. This should almost always be turned up.
Knob 2 - (Playbacks) This is channel 1 and 2 of the audio output from the Playbacks computer. We will need this to be turned up so we can listen and test the videos.
Knob 3 - (Stream) This is connected to our Living as One computer. We can use this to hear the link when trying to find out where Hills is up to or finding a cue point.
Knob 4 - (Comms) This controls the volume for communication over comms to come through the speaker. At times there is no one on comms and we need to be able to hear comms in case someone is making a call or asking to speak with us.
There is also a cue feature, When an audio channel has cue selected, that audio channel is sent through the headphones output. When Events want to listen to the live link, its best that we give them the headphones and allow them to have full access to the audio as to not interfere with ourselves listening to the service.
