The First and most important step is to know the content thats available. Click here to login to the server and browse the content. (Moving images are stored under Home>WORSHIP MEDIA on the File Server.) The GMC folder is the main folder, but there are other also which have some good content that can be used.
We work with the Lightning team to select and pick a colour scheme for the worship set. We want consistancy thoughout the whole worship set and the transistions between each song to flow nicely.
For AM services, we generally stick to 1 cyc per song, unless there is a special occasion. We can make multiple versions of the cyc and edit the intensity for high and low moments.
For PM services, we generally use mulitple cycs per song and change between each according to the intensity of the worship.
Propresenter by default sets moving images to stop, every Moving Cyc/Image should be looped,
To do this simply click on the little I icon and change the behavior menu from stop to loop. (See Below)
Note: You will need to do this for each individual cyc to make sure that they are all looped, a cyc stopping mid service is not a great look and far from what you would like.
Transitions are an intergal part of our work, with the right transition you can keep the congregation in the moment and lead them subtly into the next, the right transition can truly make for a beautiful Spirit filled moment and helps us lead people into God and his holy spirit.
The Image below illustrate the Transitions menu which can easily be accessed by clocking on the green button with an A above each cyc, you can select various transitions but we keep to dissolve for normal services am or pm.
You might want a quick transition for a praise song chorus or a transition into another song (For example What a Beautiful Name into Break Every Chain would want a transition of about 3/3.5 seconds.)
Whereas you may want a longer transition for worship type moments, going into a worship song or to keep the congregation in the spirit-filled moment and not distracted with changing images, if you set the duration to 5-10 seconds (You can enter any number you want) you can create for a beautiful transition into another moment/song.
Below is a video going into more detail about transitions, just remember we only use the Dissolve Transition.
One way to change the colour of a cyc is by clicking on color filter and adjusting the colour and selecting the desired colour.
By doing this you can select a single Colour for the moving image (Helpful with multicolour cycs to help them fit a different mood)
Another way to change the colour of a cyc is to go to effects, tick adjust color and adjust the hue..
As you can see here by adjusting the hue you can completely change the color of a image moving or still!
By going into properties on the desired cyc you can adjust the play rate, this can be very useful for slowing a cyc up to fit a worship song or to speed a cyc up to fit the beat of a praise party.
Remember to ALWAYS test and retest the moving image before a service if you adjust the play rate as this may affect performance.
The ideal way to organise the worship media is to create a new folder for each song under the Worship folder. This allows you to populate the folder with the content you are planning on using for that song and not to confuse with the other songs.
We have setup 'Hot Folders' in the ProPresenter media library which show the contents of a folder located on the computer. You can browse through these and click on them to play them. Simply drag and drop them into a folder on the left to add them to your queue
Q. I cant change the colour of a cyc or moving image
A. Their are occasionally cycs or images that cannot have their colour adjusted, you can try to select colour invert then change the whole colour using colour filter.
Q. The video is being very jittery and freezing
A. The content you are using is probably 4K content designed for other campuses. Our system is not powerful enough to run 4K content. We should stick to 1080P content.
