Firstly select the event you would like to connect to.
Each service is a different event and so is the link checks for each service.
Once an event is selected, it will begin to load and buffer. This system is able to buffer a full service for offline playback. The system is designed to run 5 minutes behind live so that we get a good 5 minute buffer time. Once we have started an event, the Live button in the bottom right hand corner will set that 5 minute delay.
If the internet does completely drop out, the system can use the buffer time to continue playing without any interruptions. And once the internet is restored, its designed to catch up and continue to buffer again.
The reason we do a link check is for FOH to get lip sync and audio levels correct. And for the band and vocals to get the volume correct in their ears incase they need to play along with link.
We need to do some prep work before link check so everyone can do their thing. We need to find 2 cue points. (save them locally ourselves)
First cue point will be the actual link check where they talk with other campuses. This is usually kept pretty short
Second cue point will be a worship song. This is generally 10 ish minutes before the link check. We want to ensure they worship for a good amount of time and not just testing something for 30 seconds.
On the left hand side, there are Cue points. You can add as many cue points as possible. When other campuses make cue points and select to share them, they will also show up here. Its important that if we create our own we DO NOT share them. Simply untick the share check box.
