Switcher

This switcher is the main control panel that brings all video sources together and gives full control over it.

The switcher has the ability to store 2 still images. User button 1 and 2 will save whatever is showing on the preview windows into image store still 1 and 2. This can be changed on the fly just by pressing the user button again. (Be very careful during service incase still is currently Live) These two buttons should be lit up.

The top layer of the source buttons (PGM) is what is being sent to the screen. This is live and pressing one of these button will instantly cut to that source. We do not want to do this.

The bottom layer of the source buttons (PST) is the preview buttons. This is how we select what is going to be switched to next with the power of the switcher. Use the lever to control the speed of the transition. Alternatively the auto button can be used to do a set 3 second transition.

Key 1 - This button will overlay FOG CG over the program feed with a darkened transparency on the program feed

Key 2 - This button will overlay FOG CG over the program feed without a darkened transparency on the program feed

Words - This button will take Songwords off the program feed. It will keep them displayed on the Foldback screen.

Clock - This button will take the clock and timer off the Foldback screen. This button is generally not used.

Auto - This button basically switches the source that is displayed on Preview and Program. It has a fade time of 3 seconds which generally suits most transitions.

Cut - This does the same as Auto, but instead of a nice 3 second fade, it just cuts to the new source.

The AUX buttons just below the little display screen are set by default. They do not need to be changed. However for more advanced switching, they can be. Each AUX represents an output, once an output is selected, a second light shows up showing you what source is sent to that output.

AUX 1 - Main projector. This is sent the program feed

AUX 2 - Fold back screen. This is sent a mixture of CG and Songwords

AUX 3 - The screen in front of the switcher. This is sent the MV (Multi View) We can change this to link or conf cam for full screen viewing

AUX 4 - Parents room. This is the camera feed which passes through our service recorder

All of the other buttons on the switcher that we haven't mentioned above is not important and can be ignored. Don't let thee rest of them overwelm you.
