We have two Foyer TV's. Signage TV and Walkin TV.
Walkin TV runs an android app which connect to resources WiFi to find an image located on a Dropbox folder. This image generally expired each month to prevent old images from showing. Jay Williams from Mt G controls this folder and is in charge of updating the image. If for some reason the image is old, or showing blank screen, firstly make sure the android device is connected to the WiFi. Secondly, message Jay via Teams to request he updates the image.
The Signage TV has a USB in the back of it with our signage. We can only show one image at a time since the slideshow feature of the TV looks quite ugly. Events will choose each week the content that they want to show on this screen. Its our job to take out the USB so events can update the content. Its pretty simple to make the image display, locate the TV remote, open up the apps, then scroll down to local content, select USB, then select the image. This image will now remain on the screen.
The school likes to hide the TV remote from us so we can't use it. Its located in the cleaning cupboard on the shelf next to the bucket. Make sure we always put it back so the school don't find a new hiding place.
These's TV's are identical in terms of how they are setup and operate.
When turned on, they should default to one of the HDMI inputs which display our camera feed with audio. Audio can be controlled by simply using the button on the back of the TV (left and right)
If no camera feed is displaying, ensure the power to the cupboard in the Video room where the patch lead is is connected and turned on. Also ensure the aux 4 cable is connected to another SDI cable with a barrel connector.
There is two TV's in the parents room. Left TV shows what is on the main projector. Right TV shows the conf cam via aux 4 aswell as provides audio. The equipment is powered by the power point connected to the fan.
The audio is patched through the long SDI cable thats run along the walkway via an audio embedder with the road case. This then gets sent to the TV via HDMI and audio can be controlled via the TV remote.
Sometimes the HDMI to SDI adaptors get a bit hot and cease functioning properly. Sometimes audio is lost, and other times full signal is lost. A quick fix is to cut the power to the unit fora few seconds and power back on. Sometimes this needs to be done a few times to get audio and video back. Sometimes the adaptor in the patch panel cupboard also needs to be reset.
If the devices in the parents room aren't getting any power, check that the light switch labelled FAN is turned on the equipment is powered by the power point connected to the fan.
Our Foldback TV is on a swing arm located in the BIO box. Its generally swung out the window and turned on from our lighting team. The remote for this TV is located in the patch panel cupboard and can be operated from the stage. This TV will shows the time, clocks, and song words.
